Spring Real Ale Festival.  J D Wetherspoon.  Showcasing an unbeatable selection of beers, throughout this 12-day event, with a superb collection of ales from only award-winning breweries. The pubs across the UK and Republic of Ireland are serving 30 top-notch festival ales during the bi-annual beer extravaganza.  All 30 of the festival beers have been sourced from 30 award-winning breweries, 25 here in the UK and five from overseas. The festival line-up also includes new, seasonal and speciality beers – in addition to which many of the beers are available in the pubs for the first time, having been brewed exclusively for the festival.

The Lord Roberts 1st Birthday Beer Festival.  The Lord Roberts, Broad Street, Nottingham.  It's a year since they re-opened after the refurb and to celebrate are having a beer festival with ten beers in the Understudy and ten beers on the bar upstairs - so 20 ales plus six real ciders.  Live music in the understudy by Swing & Blues band Saturday from 9pm.  Atlas Magic & Mindreading Friday from 8.30pm.  Free to enter.
