Beer Festival
DURING THE FESTIVAL
The Robin Hood Beer Festivalis organised, run and staffed entirely by volunteers who give up their own time freely to help make this annual event successful. Without volunteers the festival would not be possible.
This year because of the move the Castle ground and a higher expectation of attendance, we will need more volunteer staff than ever before.

You do not need any experience at working at a beer festival, the work is easy to pick up and more experienced workers will always show you the ropes. Each bar will have it's own bar manager who will always ensure you know what you are to do.
As the beer is bought by tokens there is no math's involved working out the price of a round of drinks,  just one token for every half pint served. You may not have to work at serving if you don't want to as there are other jobs that you may be able to do.

You can work as little or as much as you like, you will not be forced do more than you want. Any time you can spare no matter how little will be greatly appreciated.

You will also get free beer tokens and a meal voucher. The amount you will get depends on hours you work. For the first two hours you a glass and three beer tokens, and then three tokens for every two further hours worked. You also get a free meal voucher for every four hours worked. You will also have a great time and enjoyable experience, and you will meet other CAMRA members. Please note that Saturday evenings we always tend to struggle on manning the bars so you help will be very much appreciated at this time.

We do observe health and safety so you will be briefed on what to and not to do, and will not be forced to do anything you are not capable of doing.

You will find the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. The more experienced staff are always happy and willing to help you through the first few hours until you get the hang of things. It is easy anyway.

If you live in Nottingham, a free midnight bus will be provided to take you home.

SET UP AND TAKE DOWN
Help is always wanted to set up and and before the event starts and to help take down after it has finished. Some of this work is quite manual and does involve lifting and moving scaffolding. If you fancy this type of work  it is essential to enquire before turning up, owing to health and safety we do have to control numbers to manageable teams of workers. Safety gear has to be worn. Though we do have a limited amount available for use, if you have your own safety boots etc. please let us know before hand.
There will also be some free beer available and lunch time food will be provided.

With the increased size of the festival, we will be requiring more help than in the past, especially on the Tuesday. So please if you don't mind a bit of physical work then we would like to hear from you.
