VICTORIA LEISURE CENTRE CLOSURE
The Victoria leisure centre
Please note that though we give our support to this campaign, the site, the action and the information it contains is totally independent of CAMRA
Earlier this year Nottingham City Council indicated the closure of the Victoria Leisure Centre. It has now had a reprieve until at least the end of this year.
The campaign to save the centre is far from over as closure is still threatened for 2009 unless the council change their mind
If you want to find out more or get involved in action against the closure you can visit the action web site as follows

coors musEum closed
Coors visitors centre and brewing museum, the former Bass museum at Burton on Trent, has now been closed by it's giant American brewing owners who say they cannot afford the 1 million a year to keep it open.
For hundreds of years, the historic town of Burton upon Trent has been recognised as the capital of British brewing. The town's rich brewing history has been kept alive in what is, for many, Britain's only national brewing museum. The closure will mean a loss to one of the town's major tourist attractions with the consequential loss of jobs.
